Description
The 400 gallon Peabody ProChem Open Top Process Chemical Tank is a cylindrical day tank with its lid included, for chemical process work where the operator needs to get inside the tank. Molded-in calibration on a flat sidewall panel reads the level in gallons and litres.
Measuring 47" diameter x 59" high, this ProChem Open Top Process Chemical Tank holds 400 gallons and opens through a 52 in lid.
MATERIAL OPTIONS
- Linear Polyethylene (LPE) 1.5 SG — Part No.: 01-36292 (NSF/ANSI 61 certified resin)
- Linear Polyethylene (LPE) 1.9 SG — Part No.: 01-36293 (NSF/ANSI 61 certified resin)
- Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) — Part No.: 01-36294 (NSF/ANSI 61 certified resin)
- Polypropylene (PP) — Part No.: 01-36443
- PVDF — Part No.: 01-36444
FEATURES
- Lid included; overall height is measured from the floor to the top of the lid
- Flat calibrated sidewall panel reads in gallons and litres
- LPE certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 in all sizes; XLPE from 55 to 500 gallons
- Natural is standard, with Gemini blue and black available, plus polypropylene and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) to order

MATERIAL SELECTION GUIDANCE
Linear polyethylene (LPE) is typically selected for general chemical and water storage; cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) where greater impact and stress-crack resistance is preferred; polypropylene (PP) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) for resin-specific chemistries. Choose based on chemical compatibility first: suitability depends on your specific chemical, its concentration and its temperature, and is the buyer's responsibility to verify before ordering. The specific gravity rating states the heaviest liquid the wall is designed to hold — a 1.5 wall up to about 12.5 lb per gallon, a 1.9 wall up to about 16 lb per gallon.
These are vented, atmospheric storage tanks. Not for pressurized or vacuum service.
