MATERIAL SELECTION GUIDANCE (PE vs. PP)
Both options share the same tank size, design features, 140°F (PE) and 212°F (PP) operating temperature rating. The key difference is the resin type:
- Polyethylene (PE) — TC1021AA: Typically selected for general-purpose chemical storage where toughness and impact resistance are priorities (good for handling, transport, and day-to-day use).
- Polypropylene (PP) — TC1021AB: Typically selected when a stiffer material is preferred and when your application calls for resin-specific chemical compatibility (often chosen for certain acids/alkalis based on compatibility charts).
Recommendation: If you are unsure which resin to specify, choose based on your chemical compatibility requirement first, then handling/environmental demands.
