These heaters are inserted directly through a tank wall or pipe coupling, making them a practical solution for precise and focused heating. • Available in 1", 1 1/4", 2", and 2 1/2" NPT pipe plugs made from brass, steel, or stainless steel.
• Features .312” diameter elements for 1” and 1 1/4” sizes; .430” diameter elements for 2” and 2 1/2” sizes.
• Sheath materials include copper, steel, 321 stainless steel, or Incoloy 800.
• Options for high, medium, and low watt densities to suit various processes.
• General purpose as well as explosion and moisture-resistant terminal enclosures available.
• Bends are repressed after forming to recompact MgO and extend element life.
• Single and double pole thermostats offered in several temperature ranges.

Applications

• Copper Sheath: Suitable for clean water, freeze protection, hot water storage, cooling towers, and heating of solutions that are not corrosive to copper.
• Stainless Steel Sheath: Ideal for process water, soap and detergent solutions, soluble cutting oils, and demineralized or deionized water (passivation recommended).
• Incoloy Sheath: Designed for solution water, corrosive solutions, steam superheating, and heating of air or gas.
• Steel Sheath: Used for asphalt, wax, paraffin, tar, heat transfer mediums, petroleum, degreasing and solvent oils, machine oil, fuel oils, and alcohol.
