Fiberglass Diesel Tanks To Store Underground
Tanks for Underground Diesel Fuel Storage
Reliable, Long-Term Storage for Diesel Fuel
When it comes to underground diesel fuel storage, Underground Steel Tanks offer the best durability and safety. While fiberglass tanks are available, they are not typically recommended for underground fuel storage due to their material properties. Steel tanks provide the strength and reliability required for long-term fuel containment, preventing leaks and ensuring environmental safety. With their robust construction, underground steel tanks are built to withstand the pressure and corrosive nature of diesel fuel, making them the ideal solution for a wide range of applications.

Steel Tanks for Underground Liquid Storage
Steel tanks are commonly built for underground storage applications and can be constructed with varying steel thicknesses, ranging from 10 gauge to 1 1/4 inches. These tanks are typically used for storing petroleum products, chemicals, and other flammable or hazardous materials. For more details, visit our Steel Storage Tank page.
Common applications for these tanks include:- Petroleum-based materials
- Chemicals
- Flammable or combustible liquids
- Where required, underground steel diesel tanks can also be manufactured to meet specific standards such as UL 58 and UL 1746 for enhanced safety and compliance.
Other Fuel Tank Options
The only other option we offer for the storage of diesel fuel would be our Flexible Fuel Tank. This tank is an above ground storage option but can store up to 210,000 gallons of diesel fuel in a single tank. These units are made from flexible, fuel compatible materials that allows them to successfully store materials in your location.
Fiberglass Options
While not equipped for diesel fuel, we do offer Fiberglass Tanks that can be used to store other liquids including drinking water, grey water and some chemicals. When compared to a material such as steel, fiberglass can offer an increased resistance to cracking, rusting, corrosion, and other materials.
